SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS
Refuse to get overwhelmed with the things you have to deal with.  This is a new day, and you must take one step at a time as you move forward.  Be deliberate in making choices line up with My Word.  Let righteousness reign, says the Lord.  Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be overthrown.
Watch for surprise blessings to come that will bring the encouragement you need. Doug Addison
August 14, 2018. Words have been spoken which are being taken by Satan to reinforce ungodly behavior. You have heard additional words that compound the problem. Don’t address this issue. That won’t work. Your main activity is to be in prayer. Praying the Word is a divinely powerful weapon. You have done it before with success. If you could see into the unseen world, you would understand what happens. But until then take My wisdom and do this by faith.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NASB) “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.”  Bev Robinson

August 14, 2018. You’ve heard the term “helicopter parent,” which refers to a parent who hovers over their child. The parent doesn’t allow the child the freedom to move without being overly scrutinized. Don’t find yourself grouped into this category. If you’re not careful, you can cause irreparable damage that can take years to undo. You already know if you’re in the mix. This is a trust issue. Give your children safe space to function and to learn from their good or poor choices.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (MSG) “Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, doesn’t have a swelled head, doesn’t force itself on others, isn’t always “me first,” doesn’t fly off the handle, doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, doesn’t revel when others grovel, takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, puts up with anything, trusts God always, always looks for the best, never looks back, but keeps going to the end.”  Kevin Robinson

August 14, 2018. You have become frustrated and exasperated that someone close to you will not listen to My Spirit. You have encouraged, pleaded and maybe even threatened them that I would turn My back on them. I say to you today, “They cannot hear because they listen to the spirit of this world.” I am not angry with them; you should not be. They are deceived and can only hear in the natural. Pray that they will become spiritual.
1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NASB) “But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.”  Jonas Bohlin
