SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS
Beloved, I want you to be soft yet strong; tender and at the same time tough. I would have you discern when to be silent and when to speak. There will always be moments in your life of self-assertion as well as reservation. As long as you are led by My Spirit, you will express the true response in every circumstance. I will give you divine wisdom, says the Lord. Stay connected.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
What once seemed impossible is now going to come to you with ease. Doug Addison
October 10, 2018. In a local restaurant today, where we live in Fort Worth, TX, we were enjoying a good meal of catfish and oysters. When other diners noticed our age and obvious enjoyment in being together celebrating 61 years of marriage, a stream of people showed smiles and handshakes. One after another, diners came by our table with warm greetings. All seemed astonished and blessed at our happy demeanor. Bev displayed her obvious genius and love for people. She is a magnet drawing people to our Jesus. I am so proud of her! Everywhere we go, our countenance should be drawing others to see Jesus in us.
1 Peter 3:15 (ESV) “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,” Ras Robinson
October 10, 2018. An offense occurred. You aren’t sure how it happened. You didn’t intend to offend, but nevertheless it happened. You aren’t sure what you need to do now. Talk to Me about it. I will show you what to do. The first thing is to apologize. Yes, I know you didn’t intend to offend, but do what you need to do to make it right. Come back to Me. I want to teach you grace.
Matthew 5:23-24 (MSG) “This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.” Bev Robinson
October 10, 2018. You feel like your back is up against a wall. You feel as though there is no way out. I will come to you in the night and show you the plan. Ask and I will reveal the escape route even while you sleep. I have the ability to speak to your mind when you are not even cognizant. Let Me point you in the right direction. I will show you the way out!
